Our Classes/Workshops

As artisans, we are committed to our craft and our communities. Sharing our craft through classes and workshops is just another way to stay connected and share the fun. Classes are offered in knitting, quilting, sewing, mixed media, painting, and many others. Our kid’s classes are a great way to keep those little hands busy in a fun and creative environment. Class and Workshop Descriptions

This & That at The Mill offers quality instruction in a variety of creative areas for both beginners and those with more experience. Scroll down for class descriptions and to reserve your spot!

Looking for something unique for your child’s birthday, scout or homeschool group? Our instructors are happy to create a class just for you! Class cost varies, $8- $20 (pp).

Class Options Include:

MACHINE SEWING
Level 1: Learn how to use the machine and complete a simple project (pillow case).
Level 2: Learn how to read and use a pattern, pick out fabric and notions, and complete a simple project (lounge pants).

HAND SEWING
Level 1: Learn to use a needle and thread, sew on a button and sew a simple shape (bookmark).
Level 2: Learn basic decorative stitches and complete a simple project (keychain).

MIXED MEDIA/PAINTING
Level 1: Use a variety of materials to complete a canvas.
Level 2: Learn specific types of mixed media techniques, create an art journal.

CARD MAKING
Level 1: Follow instructor directions to complete a set of cards using paper and embellishments.
Level 2: Use a variety of papercrafting techniques to create an original set of cards.

SCRAPBOOKING
Level 1: Follow instructor directions to complete a layout or small album.
Level 2: Use paper and embellishments to design a layout or small album.

CROCHET/KNITTING
Level 1: Learn the basics; complete a simple project (bookmark, coaster).
Level 2: Learn to read a beginner pattern, pick out yarn, and complete a project.
